Believe it or not, it takes more than a computer and a smart phone to run this site. Teaching singles and couples around the world how to harness the power of texting takes effort – yep, even this blonde cartoon character needs a few other materials to survive! Here’s a peek at some of my favorite resources, hand-picked just for you.

Style
If you want to text someone, you have to either get their phone number or virtually seduce them. And what’s one of the easiest, most effective ways to do this? Dress like a million bucks. Here are the moguls that I follow, am friends with and whose style I suggest you take notice of.
I Am Alpha M – Aaron is passionate, funny, and one cool guy. He isn’t afraid to tackle taboo topics, be it grooming, style or anything else. Sign up for his YouTube channel and you’ll see that his enthusiasm is contagious, and he’s as nice in person as he is on screen. Je suis une fan!

Blogging Resources
Text Weapon has been a crazy cool adventure and learning experience. It made me realize that it’s one thing to have a message, and it’s another thing entirely to get your message out to the masses! These resources have been integral on my journey.
Aweber – This is how I build my email list and stay in contact with all of my lovely subscribers. Of all the platforms I’ve tried, this is the easiest to use, the most versatile and the best value for money.

AWProtools – This basically supercharges Aweber making it much more powerful and personalized. Get them both – you won’t regret it.

SEMrush – You don’t need to know how it works to see that it does! SEMrush is a search engine optimization (SEO) tool that tells you all about your keywords and competition, including organic and pay-per-click marketing.

Screenflow – My favorite screencast capture software. It’s easy to use and works like a charm on my Mac.

Prezi – I looked at a lot of different options before creating my online course, and guess what? Prezi won. It’s modern, fun and gives you an incredible finished product.

Hootsuite – When I dove into social media it was sink or swim and I didn’t rate my chances on my own! Luckily I found Hootsuite, and have been addicted to it ever since. It allows you to make lists, schedule tweets and get down and dirty with your SM self.

Book Club
You can call it sharpening your saw, continued education…whatever tickles your fancy. I read A LOT of books and these are the ones that really stood out from the pack.
- How To Make Anyone Fall in Love With You – Leil Lowndes is probably my favorite communication expert. She is the real deal. Read this book and you’ll understand (and communicate like a pro!).
- The Flirting Bible – Basic flirting is easy right? Just smile and lock eyes. Taking it to the next level is a little trickier. I absolutely love this book with its simple explanations and illustrations.
- How To Make People Like You in 90 Seconds – I reread this book before every in person event. It’s that powerful, and that good.
- The Definitive Book Of Body Language – Body language is a HUGE part of daily communication – studies show it makes up 55% of our message, and the words we use are only 7%!. This book helped me realize what I was doing wrong, and how to improve it.
- The Sales Bible – Jeffrey Gitomer is the king of sales, and whether you sell vacuum cleaners or are a dental hygienist, the principles in this book are priceless. I have probably listened to the audio 30 times.
- The Brain Audit – Sean is an amazing copywriter. I read the Brain Audit when first starting Text Weapon and still implement a lot of its principles today. Headlines rule!
- First Things First – This book had a fundamental influence on the course of my life. It not only made me more efficient, it made me happier…now I understand and respect what is truly important to me as a person and a professional.
- Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive – Harvey is a chip off the Jeffrey Gitomer block. He drives home the importance of giving before asking, and teaches you how perform and network better and smarter.
- Secrets Of Power Negotiation – I never thought I needed to negotiate until I listened to this audio book. It opened my eyes to the importance of negotiation, and just how powerful it is in almost everything we do. As a bonus, Roger is one charming, funny guy. Move over Seinfeld, this audio is addictive!
And that’s it!
If you have any recommendations for resources that have helped you out personally or professionally, I’d love to know about them, so get in touch!
