The scene is set, and now comes the suspense! This is where you can decide how long you want the story to be. If you’re feeling playful, make her wait while the supporting characters (in this case, the birds) encounter several people before they find the handsome, gallant man that will save her (you!).

Add suspense by telling your girlfriend only a tiny bit of the story each night. If you decide to keep it romantic, the bedtime story should end with the handsome, gallant stranger (who looks like you of course!) bringing the girl to safety, kissing her (at least!) like a true hero and strolling off into the sunset.

Or, If You’re Feeling Playful…
